Library Helpers
We have currently 20 library helpers. Students in grades 4 and 5 are eligible to be trained. They are required to work at least twice a week during recess times only.

Some of their duties are, checking in and out books, cleaning the OPACS, shelving books and "reading" their shelves for accuracy. They decorate the library and set out displays. Some of our more experienced library helpers assist us in preparing books for the bindery and discards. These students stamp the title page with the Discard Stamp and also box them up. Our library helpers are an invaluable asset to our school library.

Orchestra/Band
Band and Orchestra is offered to interested 5th grade Tiffany Park students. Students have classes twice a week in the afternoons, and play in several concerts during the year, both at Tiffany Park and in District wide Festivals. Our Band teacher is Mr. Brengle, and our Orchestra (strings) teacher is Ms. Daugherty.

Student Council
Tiffany Park's Student Council is open to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Council members must be responsible students who are outstanding role models, have good attendance, and get their work turned in on time. We meet on Tuesdays during the afternoon recess. This year our objectives are to raise school spirit, run and operate the school store and help the community by engaging in humanitarian projects and local food or clothing drives. We are excited and hope to have a successful year.

Unicycling
The unicycle program at Tiffany Park has approximately 60 students who have turned in permission slips and are riding unicycles around the gym like circus performers. Unicycling is privilege at Tiffany Park and priority is given to the older students (3-5), with some younger students occasionally being allowed to participate. This is a great activity for students to participate in, as it increases their self esteem and teaches them to persevere through life's difficult challenges.

Safety Patrol
You and your child may be familiar with the volunteers that stand by the crosswalks in their orange vests to ensure that motorists are aware of our students who are crossing the street. These are our Safety Patrol members. Patrol members are fifth graders who are willing to work before or after school to help Tiffany Park students cross the street safely.

Being a patrol member is an honor! Only students that are responsible and able to maintain good grades and behavior will be able to become members. It is important that they are walkers, or have a parent who is willing to drive him/her to and from school for duty every three weeks for a period of one week. Fourth graders are trained in May. If a student is interested in being a member of the Safety Patrol, they are given an application/permission slip to take home and be signed by a parent or guardian.
