Old trees at Renton Memorial Stadium removed
February 21, 2008 - Recently, it was determined by a City of Renton-hired arborist that the trees lining the perimeter of Renton Memorial Stadium were too old and diseased to remain in place.
There was a high probability that the 50-year-old trees would soon die and topple over on students or cars that drive by the stadium.
The trees have been removed and are being replaced with new trees.
