Summer WASL retakes registration happening now
Registration for summer WASL retakes is June 8 thru July 8 online or by phone

June 19, 2007—High school students who recently received their scores from WASL tests taken in this spring can use the reports to determine whether to retake the tests in the summer.

Individual score reports for high school students, with scores on the reading, writing, and math tests, were mailed recently to each home. These reports included important information to help families determine whether students should retake one or all WASL tests in which they did not receive a passing grade.

Retake tests will be held at Renton High School in August. The reports are also helpful in determining whether students should attend summer WASL courses to be better prepared to retake tests. Students should check with their high school for summer WASL prep classes.

Students who did not pass this year’s 10th-grade reading, writing or math portions of the WASL can retake tests in early August.

WASL retakes will be administered at
Renton High School library, 400 S 2nd Street, Renton
August 6–9 (see chart below)

To be eligible to take these tests, students must register with the state’s education office online at http://www.k12.wa.us/waslregistration/, or by phone from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon.-Fri. at 1.866.400.WASL (9275). If the student will not be in the area on these dates, he/she can register to take the test at a school in another district.
