Top Renton School District teachers and staff recognized

April 12, 2007 - Renton School Board and Renton Chamber of Commerce name top educators for 2007.

Renton School Board members have recognized four district staff members as this year’s Outstanding Employees. For 30 years, board members have recognized staff who demonstrate an extraordinary level of job performance, active support for students and dedication. This year’s winners have a combined 111 years experience in education.

Also, the Greater Renton Chamber of Commerce has named recipients of this year’s Ahead of the Class awards. The individuals and team of teachers were selected based on demonstrated high standards of professionalism in education. A special community award ceremony is planned to celebrate these teachers on May 8, 7 p.m., at the Renton Ikea Performing Arts Center at Renton High School, 400 South 3rd Street.
