The free presentation will focus on how these issues fit
together to create an overall fabric of life for the individual
with a disability. It will emphasize the need to foster independence,
self determination, self sufficiency and to provide basic protections.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER : Larry A. Jones, J.D.
is a lawyer and the parent of a person with disabilities.
In 1984 he was chosen the ARC’s National Volunteer of the Year for his work
on behalf of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
