Two Renton School Board members running
for re-election on November 8 ballot
Absentee ballots mailed for General Election
October 27, 2005 - Absentee ballots
for the Nov. 8 general election were mailed Thursday, Oct.
20th and should already have been received by voters who vote
by mail. If you are a King County voter, and have not received
your ballot, call 206-296-VOTE.
Absentee ballots must be mailed in or postmarked by Nov. 8.
For mail-in ballots to count, voters must fill out the ballot
correctly, including:
· Using a black or blue pen to completely fill out the
oval that corresponds to their vote.
· Make no other marks on the ballot, unless they are writing-in
a candidate.
· Sign and date the sign the outside (return) envelope,
but never the ballot itself.
Common errors voters make when filling in a ballot include:
· Using pencil, red pen or felt-tip markers that bleed
through to the other side of the ballot;
· Tearing or cutting the ballot with scissors;
· Incompletely filling in an oval;
· Circling or checking the oval rather than filling it
in;
· Writing in a name without filling in an oval.
