Local representatives looking for your input
February 15, 2006 - State
representatives are holding Town Hall meetings this weekend,
Saturday, Feb. 18. These lawmakers, who represent Renton
and surrounding communities, are seeking input on issues
that affect school district employees and other topics
such as:
· budget,
· transportation,
· K-12 education,
· WASL and graduation requirements,
· justice,
· environment,
· energy,
· health care,
· cities,
· taxation,
· economic development,
· early learning,
· higher education, and more.
Legislation on these issues is largely
based on what lawmakers hear from their constituents. These
meetings offer an opportunity to personally give that input
and hear what your legislators might propose in future session.
