Renton School District Board of Directors seek candidates
for vacant board position
May 12, 2006—The Renton
School District Board of Directors is soliciting letters
of interest from applicants for Director District No. 1.
The position is vacant due to the recently-announced resignation
of Director Joy Poff, who, after nearly 20 years of service
to students, teachers, staff and community, is moving outside
of district boundaries and can no longer serve in the position.
Poff will leave the position on June 30.
The position represents Campbell Hill and Talbot Hill elementary
schools, Nelsen Middle School and Black River High School.
Those interested in filling the
position must reside within the director district, and be a
U.S. citizen and a registered voter in the Renton School District.
Qualified applicants should send their letter of interest
by June 9 to Renton School Board, c/o Jan LaFountaine, 300
SW 7th Street, Renton Wash. 98055. An information packet will
be sent to qualified applicants.
