STATE OF COMMUNITY ADDRESS

Tuesday, March 29, 6 to 9 p.m.
Renton IKEA Perform Arts Center (at Renton High School, 400 South 2nd Street)
This event is free to the public.

March 16, 2005 - Learn about Renton's public entities, including a presentation on the State of Education from Renton Superintendent Dolores Gibbons, as well as from the City of Renton, Renton Technical College and Valley Medical Center during the State of the Community event. Representatives from each agency will present their plans for 2005 and beyond, explain their funding sources, detail a few challenges, and recount some accomplishments.

An 'Open House' beginning at 6:00 p.m. will highlight public services from each agency. Public officials and staff from the various organizations will be on hand to answer questions and explain services.

Entertainment, featuring performances from Renton, Hazen and Lindbergh high schools, will follow the presentations and showcase the beautiful new theater.

The city's overall health and well-being is shaped by Renton's public entities working together to support the citizens and businesses of Renton. These organizations work hard to deliver outstanding services and programs in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Through this event, these entities will help residents understand what they receive for their tax dollar investment.
