This event is free to the public.
March 16, 2005 - Learn about Renton's
public entities, including a presentation on the State of Education
from Renton Superintendent Dolores Gibbons, as well as from
the City of Renton, Renton Technical College and Valley Medical
Center during the State of the Community event. Representatives
from each agency will present their plans for 2005 and beyond,
explain their funding sources, detail a few challenges, and
recount some accomplishments.
An 'Open House' beginning
at 6:00 p.m. will highlight public services from each agency.
Public officials and staff from the various organizations will
be on hand to answer questions and explain services.
Entertainment,
featuring performances from Renton, Hazen and Lindbergh high
schools, will follow the presentations and showcase the beautiful
new theater.
The city's overall health
and well-being is shaped by Renton's public entities working
together to support the citizens and businesses of Renton.
These organizations work hard to deliver outstanding services
and programs in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
Through this event, these entities will help residents understand
what they receive for their tax dollar investment.
