Public Gets Chance to See Renton High Speech
and Debate Students in Action
April 4, 2005 - Students on the
Renton High School speech and debate team will offer their
award-winning presentations to the public on Monday,
April 18, 7 p.m. at the IKEA Performing Arts Center at Renton
High School. The presentation will include original, dramatic and
humorous selections as well as choreographed presentations
of works by authors such as Alice Walker, Rebecca Carroll,
Kathleen Cross and many others.
There is no charge
for the performance; however, the students continue to accept
donations to help with costs of attending the national speech
and debate championships in Philadelphia in June. Donations
will be accepted at the door.
(The Boeing Company has offered
to match donations from Boeing employees who contribute to
the students' fund. If your
family members or friends work at Boeing, please let them know
of the matching grant offer.)
