Renton Educators Receive 'Ahead of the Class'
Awards
April 2003 - The Ahead of the Class Award, given to
seven individuals or teams of outstanding Renton teachers, recognizes
excellence in education. The award program is a partnership between
the Greater Renton Chamber of Commerce, Renton public and private
schools, and businesses in Renton. The aim of the program is to
enhance community awareness of the excellence of education in Renton.
More than 60 teachers were nominated by district staff, parents,
and community members.
Winners are:

Linda Butts, Talbot Hill Elementary
Ginger Montague, Nelsen Middle School
Erin Estes, McKnight Middle School
Diane Wilson, Thomson Early Childhood Center
Rosemary Leifer, Brian Teppner, 4th Grade Team, Sierra
Heights Elementary
Sharon Curl, Lex Meneeley, Pamela Ellis, Emotionally
Behaviorally Disabled (EBD) Team, Hillcrest Special Services Center
Join Renton-area business owners, community members,
district staff and others in celebrating these wonderful teachers
