Thanks, Renton Police Department

Feb 2001 - Senator Patty Murray shared the good news with the Renton Police Department that $250,000 in federal grant funding has been awarded to the department for the "Cops in Schools" program. The grant was successfully written by Commander Floyd Eldridge and is intended to cover two officer's salaries for three years as part of the school resource officer program.
