School Board Selects New Board Member

Nov 2, 2000 - On November 2, the school board unanimously selected Albert (Al) Talley, Sr. to fill the vacancy left by Scott Kaseburg.

Mr. Talley will be sworn into office at the board's November 15 meeting, 7 pm, Kohlwes Education Center. A reception at 6:30 pm in the lobby will recognize Scott Kaseburg's contributions to the district.

Al has served on the district's Citizen Advisory Committee for Instruction and is a board member of Communities in Schools of Renton. He was past chair of the Renton Human Rights Commission and the Renton Chamber of Commerce. He currently is a mentor at Kennydale Elementary School.

It is Mr. Talley's desire to use his community experience to "help the school district and the community work closer together for the success of the students."

Welcome to our newest board member.
