Participate in 'Day of Concern'

Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction has been proud
to partner with Mothers Against Violence in America and hundreds
of Washington schools in observing the "Day of National Concern
About Young People and Gun Violence."Washington's past efforts
have served as a national model as over 170,000 Washington elementary,
middle and high school students have signed the "Student Pledge
Against Gun Violence", the centerpiece of the Day of Concern which
asks students to sign a written contract promising to never bring
a gun to school and never use a gun to resolve a dispute.Renton
