Nominations are Being Sought for Renton's Outstanding Citizens

July 2001 - Do you know a special citizen who works to help others through their contributions in individual groups, local organizations, churches or schools in the Renton community? Nominations are being sought for Renton's Outstanding Citizen of the Year, a program sponsored by the Greater Renton Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Renton, and the City of Renton. A special committee representing 15 local organizations, the school district, PTA and local churches will review applications and will select the top six outstanding citizens to be honored at a special banquet on October 11, 2001. Out of the finalists, they will pick one top candidate who will be named Renton's Citizen of the Year.
