September 14, 2000 - The Renton School Board of Directors is soliciting letters of interest from applicants for the Director District No. 2 seat which became vacant with the resignation of Scott Kaseburg due to a move outside of school district boundaries. Director District No. 2 represents the areas of Maplewood, Hazen, and parts of the Highlands in East Renton.

To be legally eligible for the office of school director a person must:

• be a citizen of the United States,

• be a registered voter in the school district,

• reside in the director district to be served.

Upon receipt of a letter of interest, an information packet containing a cover letter explaining the appointment process, an overview of the roles and responsibilities of a board member, and a map of the Renton School Director Districts will be sent.
