National
PTA
The National PTA
is a strong advocate for children, families and educators. Your membership
helps bring important issues to national attention.
National
PTA Priorities:
1.
High-Quality Public Education:
including increased funding to meet the needs of record high enrollments,
teacher shortages, unsafe and inadequate school facilities, special
needs students, and changing educational technology.
2.
Safe and Nurturing Environments:
including school based, before- and after-school care and learning
opportunities as well as class-size reduction and school construction.
3.
Parent Involvement: when
parents are involved, students achieve more, regardless of socioeconomic
status or ethnic/racial background. National PTA supports programs
for parent/family involvement, helping schools implement these programs,
as well as provisions enabling working parents to attend school activities.
