The Renton School District offers bus transportation to a large number of elementary school students. We follow the bus riding rules prepared by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Washington State Patrol. These are located in the Students Rights and Responsibilities pamphlet available from the School District.
Every student will also receive a copy of the Renton School District Bus Guidelines for Parents and Students. Please review these rules with your children, then sign the enclosed acknowledgement page and return it to the school. Teachers also review these rules with their students the first day of school, and bus drivers review rules with their passengers.

The District Transportation Department handles all bus discipline questions; inquiries should be referred to them at 425-204-4455.

BUS TRANSFERS

To prevent overloading buses, our district regulations state that students ride only the buses assigned to take them to and from school. Students may not transfer from bus to bus nor may walkers ride home on the buses with their friends. Students may not get off at stops other than their own. If it is necessary for a student to deviate from this procedure, a note signed by the parent must be sent to the school office first thing in the morning so that a special bus pass can be issued.

BUS LOADING ZONE

NO PARKING, LOADING OR UNLOADING FROM PRIVATE CARS, PLEASE. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS AND YOUR CHILDREN.

The bus zone is ONLY for buses to load and unload students. Please be mindful where the bus loading zone is AND BE SURE YOU DO NOT LOAD, UNLOAD OR PARK IN THIS AREA.
This is strictly for student safety and is of extreme importance. Thank you for your cooperation.
