Attendance & Tardiness

Regular and punctual attendance is extremely important to your child's success in school. We encourage you to help your child develop these good habits. However, when absences or late arrivals are necessary, please do these things:

1. Call the attendance line (204-4560) before 9:00 AM to let us know of the absence or late arrival. This line is available to take your messages 24 hours a day. Please give your child's name, the date(s) of the absence and the reason.

2. If you are unable to call the attendance line, please send a note with your child when they return to school. Be sure to include your child's name, the date(s) of the absence and the reason.

3. If you want homework for your child, please mention that fact when you call and then arrange to pick it up after school is over, or have it brought home with another child. This gives the teacher time to get everything ready.

Early Dismissal

If your child is to be dismissed before the regular time, please send a note of explanation, and we will have him/her called out of class to meet you in the office.

In the event of inclement weather, listen to your local TV or radio stations for school closure announcements or link to: School Closure Information

Transportation Issues

All students should go home directly after school. Notes are required for any change in dismissal or transportation plans.

Bus Pass Information

If students are to ride a bus they usually do not ride, or if they are to be let off at a different place than usual, a note of explanation signed by a parent MUST be brought to the office so a bus pass can be issued.

Pets, glass containers, and oversized objects are not allowed on the bus.
