Plan Goals (PDF
15K)
Reading and mathematics goals for elementary, middle
and high schools are required for all districts in Washington State.
Goals must be a minimum of 25% reduction in students not meeting
the standard on the spring 2001 WASL assessment. On November 14,
2001 the Board of Directors approved the district and building goals
for 2004.
The Board also approved the process for developing
Renton's improvement plan and the format for the comprehensive
school
improvement plan. The Comprehensive School Improvement Plan includes
the following:
- Vision Statement
- Data Analysis
- Areas of Strength and Improvement
- Major Goals
- Action Plans
- Summary Statement
The district improvement plan is composed of Comprehensive
School Improvement Plans for each of our school programs. These
plans have been developed with the direct assistance of the Department
of Instruction and coordinate with district-wide activities in curriculum
and staff development.

Plans for individual schools can be viewed by visiting the school web pages.
