Beliefs
I believe that all students can learn
and deserve our time, energy and effort to help them reach their
full potential and realize their dreams.
I believe educators
have great moral, ethical and legal obligations to create, maintain
and sustain great schools.
I believe in accountability, all of
which begins with self.
I believe that personal and ethical
skills essential for success include integrity, honesty, strong
moral character and the courage to confront challenging issues.
I believe the success of students
must be the fundamental value of all decision-making and actions.
I believe a school district should
be a place to help students become lifelong, self-directed learners;
critical thinkers; and caring people.
I believe quality education results
when collaborative efforts between students, parents, administrators,
teachers, staff and community focus on personalized educational
experiences for every student.
I believe all students have the right
to a safe and supportive environment with established policies
that implement effective principles of governance, discipline
and student management.
I believe interpersonal
relationships significantly influence organizational goals and
require caring, sensitivity, empathy, motivational skills and
consistent, effective communication.
I believe belief statements must be
communicated clearly and frequently, and must be supported in
action.
